If you're happy and you know it, don't shake your left hand

Ask 100 liberals about their views on the future and don't expect to be cheered by the results, is the notion pondered by David Goodheart at the UK Guardian. Of course, Rush Limbaugh has been talking about this for years.

When Republicans are in power, liberals think the world is doomed. When Democrats are in power, the future couldn't look brighter for liberals.

With conservatives, it doesn't seem to matter who is in power. They always fight for the same things.

I'm a big proponent of team chemistry and that is why the Democratic party gets on my nerves. As a whole, they just never seem willing to work with the other side. They are always right and the conservatives are always wrong.

Think about it, look what happened when Joe Lieberman took a "conservative" stance on the war. He was nearly removed from office. When Republicans decided to vote for Joe and save his spot in office, people in CT just saw this as proof that Joe was a Republican. Here's a guy that had been a Democrat since 1988 and had a STRONG liberal voting record. Yet, he differs on one important issue and he's a Republican.

Regardless of what party you affiliate yourself with, you still play for the same team: Team America. Republicans tend to get it. Democrats don't. It's why extreme liberals hate the idea of promoting America, because they don't want to be on the Republican side of anything. Rest assured, it is a problem. You know the phrase, "United we stand, divided we fall". There's a lot of truth to it. You can coast by with some people not trying, but eventually, it's going to bite you in the butt.

I know a lot of people might not agree with the things I'm saying, so I'll leave you all with this. How often do you hear the term "moderate Republican"? How often have you heard the term "moderate Democrat"? I bet you've heard the first a lot more than the latter. Joe Lieberman was a moderate Democrat once. Now he's a "Republican".

I'll disagree with you on one point- I think liberals are gloomy most of the time. It's just easier to blame it on Republicans when Republicans have political power.

I won't get in to the political fray.
